Additional drivers must meet same rental qualifications as the renter. Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter. An additional daily fee may apply for any additional drivers.

Minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21, except in NY and MI, where the minimum age to rent is 18. Rental rates may be higher for renters and additional drivers under the age of 25. To view young driver fee, please go to the reservation page and select the location. Certain specialty and larger sized vehicles may not be available for rentals when the renter or additional driver is under 25.

This reservation is being made with a Contract ID number (CID) assigned to a Corporate Account for use exclusively by its eligible renters. Use of this CID by individuals other than eligible renters is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action. Renters using this CID may be required to show proof of employment or authorization (such as a business card, current email with company domain, work order, etc.). Questions about acceptable proof of employment or authorization should be directed to your Travel Manager.

DAMAGE WAIVER, DW, FOR THIS BRANCH IS 20.99-24.99 USD PER DAY. - DAMAGE WAIVER, DW, IS OFFERED AT THE TIME OF RENTAL FOR AN ADDITIONAL DAILY CHARGE. IF THE RENTER ACCEPTS DW, ENTERPRISE WAIVES OR REDUCES THE RENTERS RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OF, OR DAMAGE TO, THE RENTAL VEHICLE SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT AND APPLICABLE LAWS. DW IS NOT INSURANCE. THE PURCHASE OF DW IS OPTIONAL AND NOT REQUIRED TO RENT A CAR. THE PROTECTION PROVIDED BY DW MAY DUPLICATE THE RENTERS EXISTING COVERAGE. ENTERPRISE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO EVALUATE THE ADEQUACY OF THE RENTERS EXISTING COVERAGE, THEREFORE THE RENTER SHOULD EXAMINE HIS OR HER CREDIT CARD PROTECTIONS, AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE POLICIES OR OTHER SOURCES OF COVERAGE THAT MAY DUPLICATE THE PROTECTION PROVIDED BY DW.

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Option 1- Prepay Fuel
This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused gas.

Option 2 - We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay National at the end of the rental for gas used but not replace. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices.

Option 3- You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

Important Note- For Europeans booking in the US and Canada, unless included in the rate package, payment for a tank of gas will be required at time of rental. No refund will be issued for fuel purchased but not used. The total prepaid fuel charge reflected is an estimate based on current prices and the average tank size for the car class reserved, and may change at time of rental.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is not insurance.  The purchase of LDW is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle.

You may purchase optional LDW for an additional fee.  If you purchase LDW we agree, subject to the actions that invalidate LDW listed on the rental agreement, to contractually waive your responsibility for all or part of the cost of damage to, loss or theft of, the vehicle. DW does not apply to damage occurring in Mexico.

When deciding whether or not to purchase DW, you may wish to check with your insurance representative or credit card company to determine whether, in the event of damage to, or theft of, vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of your deductible or out-of-pocket risk. 

Emerald Club customers can earn credits on qualifying rentals and redeem free days at this location. Note: Emerald Club members can earn credits on National and Enterprise brand rentals, but can only redeem at National brand locations

A valid drivers license from the customers country of residence is required and must be presented at time of rental. The drivers license must be valid for the entire rental period.
If the drivers license is in a language other than English, an International Driver's Permit is required along with the drivers license.

Exceptions-
- Japanese travelers may use the Japanese Drivers License Translation Service, which replaces the need for an International Drivers Permit.
- At all California, Nevada and Phoenix-area airports and rental locations, renters with drivers licenses issued outside of the United States or its territories must produce a valid Passport. US Territories include American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Midway Islands.

Please read the Renter Requirements Policy for details pertaining to deposits and general rental requirements at this location. Additional authorizations from your account will be obtained to cover the cost of the rental charges. National is not responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.

All renters and additional drivers must be 21 or older, have a valid driver's license and a major credit card in their name. Driver's licenses are accepted from any USA state or territory, from a Canadian province or from an international country. Licenses from outside the USA or Canada also may require an international driver's permit. International driver's permits are valid only if presented with the original local license. International renters require a valid passport; the name on the passport must match the name on the driver's license. Individuals with learner's permits are not eligible to rent. U.S. government employees ages 18 or older will not incur a young driver surcharge when renting for authorized government travel. This is only a summary. For additional details, please reference the Driver’s License Information Policy.

AGE –

The underage surcharge for drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 is $20 per day. Renters between the ages of 21 and 24 may rent the following vehicle classes: Economy through Full Size cars.

NON CREDIT CARD DEPOSITS –

Debit cards and prepaid cards are accepted at our airport locations at the time of rental with a round trip travel ticket, e-ticket, or travel itinerary that shows the renter's name and discloses a return date and port of entry. Renters using a debit card as a deposit may rent the following vehicle classes: Economy through Full Size cars, Minivans, Intermediate SUVs, Standard SUVs and Pickup trucks.

DEPOSIT AMOUNTS –

A deposit equal to the cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental, and the funds will not be available for use until after the vehicle has been returned. For renters living locally and renting with a credit card, a deposit including an additional 200 USD more than the cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental, and the funds will not be available for use until after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not an acceptable form of rental deposit. This location is not responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.

Must meet the locations minimum age requirements.

Present a valid drivers license.

Present a major credit card in renters name at the time of rental. 

Note- A Credit card is not required to rent in the state of New York. Renters who do not have a credit card will need to complete a cash qualification process in order to rent a vehicle.

Renter may purchase Roadside Plus (RSP) from Owner for an additional fee. If Renter purchases RSP, Owner agrees, subject to the actions that invalidate Loss Damage Waiver, to contractually waive Renter’s responsibility for the cost to provide 24/7 roadside assistance (where available) which includes replacement of lost keys (including remote entry devices), flat tire service (if no inflated spare is available, the vehicle will be towed. Cost of a replacement tire is not covered by RSP), lockout service (if the keys are locked inside the vehicle), jumpstarts, and fuel delivery service for up to 3 gallons (or equivalent liters) of fuel if Vehicle is out of fuel. Roadside Plus services are only available in the United States and Canada. If Renter does not purchase RSP, or RSP is invalidated as set forth above, roadside assistance will be available, but standard charges will apply. RSP does not apply in Mexico. Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) (Where available): If SLI is selected and paid for, Owner provides Renter or any AAD with third-party liability protection in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the Vehicle (the Primary Protection). SLI also provides additional third-party liability protection, through an excess liability policy, with limits of the difference between the Primary Protection and a combined single limit of $1 million per accident for bodily injury, death and/or property damage to others arising out of the use or operation of the Owner hire Vehicle by Renter or an AAD, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. SLI includes Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage for bodily injury and property damage in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the Vehicle (the Primary Protection), and additional coverage, through an excess liability policy, with limits for the difference between the statutory minimum underlying limits and $100,000 per accident (for hires commencing in New York, UM/UIM limits are $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident; for hires commencing in Hawaii, the UM/UIM limits are $1,000,000 combined single limit) or state mandated UM/UIM limit, whichever is greater. OWNER AND RENTER REJECT ANY ADDITIONAL UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED MOTORIST (UM/UIM) COVERAGE TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SLI, including UM/UIM benefits is provided only when Renter or any AAD are driving the Vehicle. No claim for UM/UIM may be made due to the negligence of the driver of the Vehicle. (Where available): If SLI is selected and paid for, Owner provides Renter or any AAD with third-party liability protection in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the Vehicle (the Primary Protection). SLI also provides additional third-party liability protection, through an excess liability policy, with limits of the difference between the Primary Protection and a combined single limit of $1 million per accident for bodily injury, death and/or property damage to others arising out of the use or operation of the Owner hire Vehicle by Renter or an AAD, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. ADDITIONAL POLICY EXCLUSIONS INCLUDE: (A) BODILY INJURY TO RENTER, ANY AAD, OR TO THE BLOOD RELATIVES OR FAMILY OF RENTER OR ANY AAD, IF SUCH RELATIVES OR FAMILY RESIDE IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD WITH RENTER OR WITH AN AAD; (B) PROPERTY DAMAGE TO THE RENTAL VEHICLE; (C) FINES, PENALTIES, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; (D) BODILY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE EXPECTED OR INTENDED FROM THE STANDPOINT OF THE INSURED; AND (E) ANY OBLIGATION FOR WHICH THE INSURED OR THE INSURED'S INSURER MAY BE HELD LIABLE UNDER ANY WORKER'S COMPENSATION, DISABILITY BENEFITS OR UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION LAW OR ANY SIMILAR LAW. Note: Any UM/UIM benefits paid are included in the $1 million combined single limit SLI coverage and in no way increase the combined single limit amount referenced above. This insurance coverage is underwritten by Ace American Insurance Company. If you or any driver operate the rental vehicle in the following areas, and generate an unpaid toll, you will be charged:

•TPD area (Northeast U.S. except MA): TollPass Transponder Service of $3.95 for each rental day plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Device Charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.

•TPD area (Massachusetts) – there is no option to pay cash on any Massachusetts toll road

• Travel both within and outside of MA: TOLLPASS TRANSPONDER SERVICE of $3.95 for each rental day plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Device Charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.

• Travel within MA only: TOLLPASS CONVENIENCE CHARGE of $3.95 for each day you use a toll road or bridge plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Convenience charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.

•TPW area (Chicago): Tollpass Transponder Service of $9.99 for each rental day at the airport locations and $7.99 for each rental day at all other participating locations. The cost of tolls is included in the daily charge.

•TCC area (Northern CA, CO, GA, FL, TX, NC, PR, WA in the U.S. / Toronto and Vancouver in Canada): TollPass Convenience Charge of $3.95 for each day you use a toll road or bridge plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Device Charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.

•TCC area (Southern CA): TollPass Convenience Charge of $3.95 for each day you use the 73, 133, 241 or 261 toll roads or bridges plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Convenience Charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.

If you or any driver operate the rental vehicle in areas not served by TollPass and generate any unpaid toll(s) then you will be charged for all unpaid tolls and an administrative charge of up to $25.00 per rental.
