All drivers must be 21 years of age or older. Renters 21 through 24 years of age may only rent Economy through Fullsize cars.
This reservation is being made with a Contract ID number (CID) assigned to a Corporate Account for use exclusively by its eligible renters. Use of this CID by individuals other than eligible renters is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action. Renters using this CID may be required to show proof of employment or authorization (such as a business card, current email with company domain, work order, etc.). Questions about acceptable proof of employment or authorization should be directed to your Travel Manager.
As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.
Option 1- Prepay Fuel
This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused gas.
Option 2 - We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay National at the end of the rental for gas used but not replace. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices.
Option 3- You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.
Important Note- For Europeans booking in the US and Canada, unless included in the rate package, payment for a tank of gas will be required at time of rental. No refund will be issued for fuel purchased but not used. The total prepaid fuel charge reflected is an estimate based on current prices and the average tank size for the car class reserved, and may change at time of rental.
Optional Loss Damage Waiver LDW IS NOT INSURANCE. THE PURCHASE OF LDW IS OPTIONAL AND NOT REQUIRED IN ORDER TO RENT A VEHCILE.
Renter may purchase optional LDW from Owner for an additional fee of 26.99 USD per day or less, depending on the vehicle rented. If Renter purchases LDW, Owner agrees, subject to the actions that invalidate LDW listed below, to contractually waive Renters responsibility for all or part of the cost of damage to, loss or theft of, Vehicle or any part or accessory and related costs regardless of fault or negligence, depending on the LDW plan chosen. Not with standing anything to the contrary and unless prohibited by law, LDW DOES NOT PROVIDE PROTECTION FOR LOST KEYS, KEY FOBS, TRANSPONDERS OR OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES. LDW does not apply to damage occurring in Mexico. In most locations, Owner offers the following two levels of LDW protection Loss Damage Waiver- Owner will pay for all loss or damage to the Vehicle. Loss Damage Waiver 3000- Owner will pay the first 3,000 USD of loss or damage. Renter will pay for all loss or damage over 3,000 USD. When deciding whether or not to purchase LDW, you may wish to check with your insurance representative or credit card Company to determine whether, in the event of damage to, or theft of, Vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of your deductible or out-of-pocket risk.
The following shall invalidate LDW A. If vehicle is damaged when used or driven 1. By any person other than renter or aads without owners prior written consent. 2. By any person if there is reasonable evidence the driver was impaired by the use of alcohol, narcotics, intoxicants, or drugs, used with or without a prescription. 3. By any person committing a felony or otherwise engaged in a criminal act. 4. In a race or speed contest. 5. To tow or push anything. 6. Outside of the United States and Canada. 7. Under authority of any license that is suspended, revoked, invalid or does not belong to the driver. 8. To transport persons or property for hire. 9. In a wanton or reckless manner or if vehicle is deliberately damaged. 10. On an unpaved road or off road. 11. To transport explosives, chemicals, corrosives or other hazardous materials or pollutants of any kind. B. If renter misrepresents facts to owner pertaining to rental, use, or operation of vehicle. C. If vehicles interior components are stolen or damaged when vehicle is unlocked or keys are not secured. D. If renter fails or refuses to provide owner, police, or other authorities with a full report of any accident or vandalism involving vehicle or otherwise fails to cooperate with owner, police, or other authorities in the investigation of any accident or vandalism. E. If vehicle is stolen and renter fails to do any of the following 1. Return the original ignition key and owners key tag identifying vehicle. 2. File a police report within 24 hours after discovering the theft. 3. Cooperate fully with owner, police and other authorities in all matters connected with the investigation of the theft.

Emerald Club customers can earn credits on qualifying rentals and redeem free days at this location. Note: Emerald Club members can earn credits on National and Enterprise brand rentals, but can only redeem at National brand locations
A valid drivers license from the customers country of residence is required and must be presented at time of rental. The drivers license must be valid for the entire rental period.
If the drivers license is in a language other than English, an International Driver's Permit is required along with the drivers license.
Exceptions-
- Japanese travelers may use the Japanese Drivers License Translation Service, which replaces the need for an International Drivers Permit.
- At all California, Nevada and Phoenix-area airports and rental locations, renters with drivers licenses issued outside of the United States or its territories must produce a valid Passport. US Territories include American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Midway Islands.
A credit card, with available credit and in the renters name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction. Credit Cards honored- American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Discover, JCB. Puerto Rico- The following credit cards are accepted for rentals in Puerto Rico- American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club, Discover.
- Canada- The following credit cards are accepted for rentals in Canada: American Express, MasterCard, VISA.
Must meet the locations minimum age requirements.
Present a valid drivers license.
Present a major credit card in renters name at the time of rental.
Note- A Credit card is not required to rent in the state of New York. Renters who do not have a credit card will need to complete a cash qualification process in order to rent a vehicle.
Renter may purchase Roadside Plus (RSP) from Owner for an additional fee. If Renter purchases RSP, Owner agrees, subject to the actions that invalidate Loss Damage Waiver, to contractually waive Renter’s responsibility for the cost to provide 24/7 roadside assistance (where available) which includes replacement of lost keys (including remote entry devices), flat tire service (if no inflated spare is available, the vehicle will be towed. Cost of a replacement tire is not covered by RSP), lockout service (if the keys are locked inside the vehicle), jumpstarts, and fuel delivery service for up to 3 gallons (or equivalent liters) of fuel if Vehicle is out of fuel. Roadside Plus services are only available in the United States and Canada. If Renter does not purchase RSP, or RSP is invalidated as set forth above, roadside assistance will be available, but standard charges will apply. RSP does not apply in Mexico. Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) (Where available): If SLI is selected and paid for, Owner provides Renter or any AAD with third-party liability protection in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the Vehicle (the Primary Protection). SLI also provides additional third-party liability protection, through an excess liability policy, with limits of the difference between the Primary Protection and a combined single limit of $1 million per accident for bodily injury, death and/or property damage to others arising out of the use or operation of the Owner hire Vehicle by Renter or an AAD, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. SLI includes Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage for bodily injury and property damage in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the Vehicle (the Primary Protection), and additional coverage, through an excess liability policy, with limits for the difference between the statutory minimum underlying limits and $100,000 per accident (for hires commencing in New York, UM/UIM limits are $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident; for hires commencing in Hawaii, the UM/UIM limits are $1,000,000 combined single limit) or state mandated UM/UIM limit, whichever is greater. OWNER AND RENTER REJECT ANY ADDITIONAL UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED MOTORIST (UM/UIM) COVERAGE TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SLI, including UM/UIM benefits is provided only when Renter or any AAD are driving the Vehicle. No claim for UM/UIM may be made due to the negligence of the driver of the Vehicle. (Where available): If SLI is selected and paid for, Owner provides Renter or any AAD with third-party liability protection in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the Vehicle (the Primary Protection). SLI also provides additional third-party liability protection, through an excess liability policy, with limits of the difference between the Primary Protection and a combined single limit of $1 million per accident for bodily injury, death and/or property damage to others arising out of the use or operation of the Owner hire Vehicle by Renter or an AAD, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. ADDITIONAL POLICY EXCLUSIONS INCLUDE: (A) BODILY INJURY TO RENTER, ANY AAD, OR TO THE BLOOD RELATIVES OR FAMILY OF RENTER OR ANY AAD, IF SUCH RELATIVES OR FAMILY RESIDE IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD WITH RENTER OR WITH AN AAD; (B) PROPERTY DAMAGE TO THE RENTAL VEHICLE; (C) FINES, PENALTIES, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; (D) BODILY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE EXPECTED OR INTENDED FROM THE STANDPOINT OF THE INSURED; AND (E) ANY OBLIGATION FOR WHICH THE INSURED OR THE INSURED'S INSURER MAY BE HELD LIABLE UNDER ANY WORKER'S COMPENSATION, DISABILITY BENEFITS OR UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION LAW OR ANY SIMILAR LAW. Note: Any UM/UIM benefits paid are included in the $1 million combined single limit SLI coverage and in no way increase the combined single limit amount referenced above. This insurance coverage is underwritten by Ace American Insurance Company. If you or any driver operate the rental vehicle in the following areas, and generate an unpaid toll, you will be charged:
•TPD area (Northeast U.S. except MA): TollPass Transponder Service of $3.95 for each rental day plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Device Charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.
•TPD area (Massachusetts) – there is no option to pay cash on any Massachusetts toll road

Travel both within and outside of MA: TOLLPASS TRANSPONDER SERVICE of $3.95 for each rental day plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Device Charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.

Travel within MA only: TOLLPASS CONVENIENCE CHARGE of $3.95 for each day you use a toll road or bridge plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Convenience charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.
•TPW area (Chicago): Tollpass Transponder Service of $9.99 for each rental day at the airport locations and $7.99 for each rental day at all other participating locations. The cost of tolls is included in the daily charge.
•TCC area (Northern CA, CO, GA, FL, TX, NC, PR, WA in the U.S. / Toronto and Vancouver in Canada): TollPass Convenience Charge of $3.95 for each day you use a toll road or bridge plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Device Charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.
•TCC area (Southern CA): TollPass Convenience Charge of $3.95 for each day you use the 73, 133, 241 or 261 toll roads or bridges plus the cost of all unpaid tolls. The maximum TollPass Convenience Charge for the rental period is $19.75, plus the cost of all unpaid tolls.

If you or any driver operate the rental vehicle in areas not served by TollPass and generate any unpaid toll(s) then you will be charged for all unpaid tolls and an administrative charge of up to $25.00 per rental.
