Traveling Around Town

When you arrive in Anchorage, you’ll want to grab your car rental and take the short, 15-minute drive to downtown. You’ll find the Rental Car Center directly across from the South Terminal. Shuttles run every 15 minutes and stop at the South Terminal, North Terminal, and Rental Car Center.

Given the latitude of Anchorage, travelers should keep in mind the difference in hours of daylight throughout the year. Late spring and summer months experience up to 19 ½ hours of daylight while winter months may see as little as 5 ½ hours of daylight.

Work Hard While Enjoying the City

While many of the hotels throughout the city offer conference rooms, there are two main conference or convention centers in Anchorage.

The Eagan Center is 6 miles from the airport and offers 85,000 square feet of space. You can get banquet seating for up to 1,440 people. There are several exhibit halls and conference rooms you can choose from for your event.

Another option is the Dena'ina Center which is 5 miles from the Anchorage International Airport. This convention center is the larger of the two, with almost 200,000 square feet of space. Here you'll find both indoor and outdoor areas, allowing the flexibility you need.
