When returning the rental car outside the opening hours of the rental location you have to park the vehicle on National assigned parking spaces follow the road signs - Car Rental Return- at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and lock the vehicle. Accordingly place the key in the drop box located on the National counter inside the terminal.
All car groups are available for all renters aged 18 and over with the exception of car groups full size, premium and luxury which are only available to 25 year old renters and above.
It is allowed to use the vehicle only in the following countries - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Vatican. If the vehicle should be taken outside these listed countries, enterprise prior written consent must be obtained. Some restrictions may apply with respect to - loading the vehicle on trains, boats, ferries or similar means of transportation. - taking the vehicle from the mainland onto an island. - taking certain types of vehicles across borders.
Domestic one way rentals between National location Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central Station are free of charge. For international one way rentals, the customer is advised to check at time of reservation. Surcharges apply and are available on request.
All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of petrol and must be returned in the same condition. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank a charge of eur 2.50 per litre for refueling service per fuel shortage will be applied.
Cross border policy- it is allowed to use the vehicle only in the following countries- Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Vatican city. American Express, Mastercard, Diners Club and Visa credit cards are accepted. Cash payments, Travellers Cheques and Euro Cheques are not accepted. An international valid credit card is always required for the deposit -determined by multiplying the rate by the rental period reserved and other relevant charges plus the applicable excess amount. In addition, for car category FDAR an extra deposit applies of Euro 2000 and for car category PDAR an extra deposit of Euro 3000- which will be held on the credit card until the vehicle is returned and the final rental charge is debited. Any charges for damages, fines, taxes, penalties and the related administration fees belonging to the rental period can also be debited from the credit card after the return of the vehicle.
All drivers - including additional drivers - must hold and produce a driving license valid in the country where the rental takes place. The driving license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 12 months before the date of the commencement of the rental. In addition to the normal driving license, an international driving license is also mandatory if the driving license is written in a language different to the one of the renting country and or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country or if the driving license is otherwise not valid in the European union. An international driving license is valid only if accompanied by the normal driving license. Also a valid identity card or passport must be presented at time of rental.
All the vehicles in the National fleet are insured against bodily injury and property damage that you might inflict on a third party as a result of an accident involving the vehicle. The amounts for such liability cover are available on request. In particular, you must comply with the rule concerning permitted destinations, as set out in the article -use of the vehicle- above, in order to have the full benefit of the insurance provisions.
