Riga International Airport (RIX) Car Rental

There will be an additional charge of 12.39 EUR per rental plus VAT for each additional authorized driver. Full rental conditions apply to all additional drivers.

After Hours Pickups- After Hours pickups are available at this location. Advance notice of 24 hours and an After Hours charge of 30.00 Euro plus VAT applies.
After Hours Returns- Customers should return the rental car to the Park and Fly parking. Park and Fly service will provide assistance and operates a 24 hours 7 days a week free shuttle bus service to Riga Airport every 15 minutes. Please request assistance to call shuttle bus at the small office located at the entrance to Park and Fly parking. Please place car keys and associated documentation in the key drop box located near the entrance by a small office. This is office is also manned by staff who will be on hand to receive car keys and check in the rental.

All renters and additional drivers must be 18 or older. Only renters aged 23 or older can rent the Luxury Van vehicle group. The young driver fee for drivers between the ages of 18-21 is 3.54 EUR per day plus VAT. It is advisable to check local terms and conditions upon completion of the reservation.

Collision Damage Waiver is included with the rental rates as per default. CDW coverage reduces the renters financial responsibility in the event of a single case of damage to the rental vehicle subject to the terms and conditions of the rental contract and applicable laws.  This insurance product does not include damage to the undercarriage, the tires or windshield of the vehicle. It is available for an additional fee of 5.00 EUR per day plus VAT and reduces the excess for damage of the vehicle to 400.00 and 700.00 EUR depending on car group.                                                                                                                                                        Partial Collision Damage Waiver is an optional coverage which further reduces the renters financial responsibility in the event of a single case of damage to the rental vehicle subject to the terms and conditions of the rental contract and applicable laws.  This insurance product does not include damage to the undercarriage, the tires or windshield of the vehicle. It is available for an additional fee of 8.26 EUR per day plus VAT and reduces the excess for damage of the vehicle to half the total of the Collision Damage Waiver. Excess for Partial Collision Damage Waiver ranges from 200.00 EUR to 350.00 EUR depending on the car group.

International one way rentals are available at an additional cost-
Riga -Tallinn, Tallinn City office - Estonia - 115.00 EUR plus VAT
Riga - Vilnius Airport, Vilnius City office, Kaunas Airport - Lithuania - 115.00 EUR plus VAT.

All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel and should be returned in the same condition.  If a vehicle is returned with less than a full tank of fuel a refueling charge per missing litre of fuel at a rate of  2.80 EUR will apply. Prepaid fuel option is available upon request. Please ask station staff at the time of rental for information about prepaid fuel and pricing.

The renter must advise that the rental vehicle will be taken across an international border at the time of rental.
Cross-border travel is permitted into Estonia and Lithuania.
Cross-border travel is forbidden into Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
It is recommended to contact the rental location for information relative to cross border travel and its restrictions and regulations.
A penalty fee equal to the cost of recovering the rental vehicle and a 500.00 EUR fine will apply for the unauthorized drop of the rental vehicle in a country prohibited for cross-border travel. A penalty fee of 250.00 EUR will apply for unauthorized drop of the rental vehicle in a country other than the country of rental origin.

Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted as payment for rentals and upon reservation.
Cash payments may be accepted in exception to the general rule if a supporting credit card is provided. Cash payments must be arranged and approved by the Station Manager.
Deposits- Customers should present valid credit card in his or her own name for security deposit authorization purposes. The deposit amount will cover the amount of Collision Damage Waiver cover which ranges from 400.00 to 700.00 EUR depending upon vehicle class and the cost of a full tank of fuel. The purchase of partial collision damage waiver and super collision damage waiver will result in a lower deposit amount.
The deposit is blocked during the rental period and unblocked after the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition at the time of rental pickup -no damage, full tank of fuel and no traffic fines or penalties-. Cash deposits will be returned to the rental customer within 45 days after rental return via a wire transfer to the customers bank account.

All drivers -renter and additional drivers- must produce a valid driving license at the time of rental. In addition to a valid driving license, the renter must also produce two proofs of address -utility bill, credit card bill or bank statement for example- not more than three months old, ID card or passport and a major credit card in his or her own name.
Multiple-part driving license holders must produce all parts of their license. An international driving permit is required for anyone holding a non-European driving license.
Additional ID or further identification checks may be requested if deemed necessary. This may include an identity check with external partners who may check details supplied against databases to which they have access.
